weddings at the farm
One of our hopes is to host small garden weddings here at Lavender Fields Farm. We have already hosted a lovely wedding for a friend of the family. However, we are very rustic at this point, and don't have much equipment, so here's what we are telling people who inquire:
Any wedding would need to be quite small (100 as the absolute maximum because of parking--we are much more comfortable with 50-75 as a max).
You will need to rent:
tables and chairs
a tent if you wish to have one
portable toilet
You will also need to hire a caterer
we have no liquor license
We can give contact information for all these vendors; they are great.
The setup for the wedding we hosted (more pics in the blog) was this:
wedding in upper field with chairs and arbor (we can provide an arbor and chairs/benches)
space for the caterer to put food out and to set up the gift table
tent outside the barn for tables and chairs and dancing (the chairs were moved by volunteers and guests following the ceremony).
There is a small Bed & Breakfast nearby if the bridal party wants to stay the night before.
The parameters prove that we are rustic, but we can make it work. We don't even have much lavender planted yet... but the fields are nice and the view is pretty!.
